- World-class noise cancellation and CustomTune sound calibration technology
- Bose Immersive Audio for a wider and more immersive soundstage
- Up to 24 hours of battery life
Bose, the audio company, has just launched its latest additions to the QuietComfort lineup: the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, and QuietComfort Headphones. These new products continue to deliver on the hallmarks that have made the QuietComfort name synonymous with excellence in the audio industry—top-notch noise cancellation, high-quality sound, and unparalleled comfort.
One of the standout features of the QC Ultra Headphones and Earbuds is the introduction of Bose Immersive Audio. This technology takes audio performance to new heights by creating a wider and more immersive soundstage. Regardless of the platform or device you’re using, Bose Immersive Audio brings a multi-dimensional and layered experience to your ears. It achieves this by virtually placing the sound in front of you, rather than collapsing it into your head like traditional headphones. This effect is made possible by an onboard IMU and proprietary Bose digital signal processing software.
To cater to different listening preferences, Bose offers two options with Immersive Audio: “Still” and “Motion.” The “Still” mode keeps the audio fixed in a specific position, perfect for stationary listening sessions. On the other hand, the “Motion” mode allows the sound to move with you, ensuring an immersive experience even when you’re on the go.
The QuietComfort Ultra Headphones take the mantle as Bose’s flagship banded headphone, surpassing the Noise Cancelling Headphones 700. These headphones combine Bose Immersive Audio with world-class noise cancellation and CustomTune audio calibration for an unmatched performance. The re-engineered system includes advanced microphones, proprietary signal processing, and a robust chip set, enabling improved noise cancellation, CustomTune technology, Bose Aware Mode with ActiveSense, and exceptional voice pickup.
In terms of design, the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones boast a sleek and premium look. With minimal seams and part splits, they fold flat into a compact storage case. The intuitive physical controls on the right earcup make it easy to navigate through various functions, including power/Bluetooth pairing, volume control, and playback control. The left earcup houses an LED indicator, 2.5 mm jack, and a USB-C charging port. With up to 24 hours of battery life, these headphones are ready to keep you immersed in your music for extended periods.
The QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, replacing the award-winning QC Earbuds II, offer the same world-class noise cancellation and CustomTune sound calibration technology. However, they now come with improved far-end call quality. Dynamic microphone mixing and adaptive filters work together to ensure your voice is clear and intelligible, even in less-than-ideal environments. The refreshed design features a sleek metallic treatment and stability bands that provide an improved fit for optimal comfort and performance.
The Ultra Earbuds offer up to six hours of battery life on a single charge, with the option to extend it using the new wireless charging case cover. This silicone case cover, available for $49, enables wireless charging and is compatible with both the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds and their predecessor, QC Earbuds II.
Completing the lineup is the Bose QuietComfort Headphones, which will replace the QuietComfort 45 Headphones. These headphones offer powerful high-fidelity audio paired with legendary noise cancellation. They now feature adjustable noise cancellation levels and custom modes for a personalized listening experience. With multipoint Bluetooth 5.1 capability and up to 24 hours of battery life, these headphones provide convenience and flexibility for wireless listening.
All three new QuietComfort products are compatible with Bose SimpleSync technology, allowing you to pair them with select smart soundbars and speakers for a personalized listening experience. The compatibility extends to mobile devices’ built-in voice assistants, and the Bose Music app provides additional features like shortcut settings, listening modes, and adjustable EQ. The app also serves as a platform for future software updates, ensuring that users can enjoy new features and benefits as they become available.
The QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, and QuietComfort Headphones will be available for purchase starting in September and October. The Ultra Headphones and Earbuds will retail for $429 and $299, respectively, while the QuietComfort Headphones will be priced at $349. All three products will be available in Black and White Smoke, with the QuietComfort Headphones also offering a limited-edition Cypress Green color option. Pre-orders are now open on Bose.com for customers in the United States.
