audio equipment manufacturer Beyerdynamic is expanding its MMX gaming product range with the launch of the new MMX 200 wireless gaming headset. This latest addition aims to take gaming sound to a whole new level, offering crystal-clear studio sound, a META VOICE microphone, and wireless connectivity for PC and console gaming enthusiasts.
Designed specifically for gamers by beyerdynamic acousticians, the integrated 40 mm studio driver systems deliver a clear and comprehensive soundscape. This not only enhances the gaming experience but also improves voice communication and the enjoyment of music and movies. The precise in-game sound localization allows for crucial gameplay maneuvers and creates a more realistic gaming world.
One of the standout features of the MMX 200 wireless is the META VOICE microphone, which takes voice transmission to new heights. With its 9.9 mm capsule, voices are rendered lifelike and natural, while disruptive ambient noise is effectively suppressed. The flexible META VOICE microphone is also detachable, ensuring it doesn’t get in the way when watching videos or listening to music. However, calls can still be made as the built-in microphones in the MMX 200 wireless are activated when the META VOICE microphone is disconnected, allowing users to stay reachable at all times.
“The wireless iteration of our MMX 200 Gaming Headset significantly enhances our product lineup,” says Tim Völker, Director of Global Sales and Marketing – Gaming. “With the wireless gaming headset, gamers get exactly the headset they need to deliver their peak performance. In terms of sound, communication, flexibility, and comfort, beyerdynamic’s new headset sets new standards.”
The MMX 200 wireless features smart controls, including a control wheel for effortless and precise volume adjustments without interrupting gameplay. The control wheel also manages the mute function and Augmented Mode. The META LINK SWITCH allows for seamless switching between BLUETOOTH MODE, LOW Latency MODE, and HYBRID MODE, ensuring optimal wireless connectivity in any situation. The LOW LATENCY MODE can be individually selected for the best gaming experience through the META LINK SWITCH. The USB dongle, designed for latency control and compatible with PCs, consoles, and other USB devices, eliminates any input lag between audio and visuals.
The META LINK CONNECT technology provides a high-speed wireless connection that sets new standards in the gaming world. With features like LOW LATENCY MODE, BLUETOOTH 5.3, and HYBRID MODE, gamers can establish the perfect connection with various devices, delivering an unparalleled sound experience. The Augmented Mode of the MMX 200 wireless blends ambient sounds with in-game audio, creating a unique gaming experience that enhances environmental awareness.
In addition to excellent sound and voice quality, the MMX 200 wireless ensures high wearing comfort for hours of gaming sessions. The new earpad shape and memory foam-filled faux leather headband with an aluminum bracket guarantee an optimal fit, eliminating disruptive pressure points. The earpads can be effortlessly replaced thanks to the bayonet mechanism.
The beyerdynamic MMX 200 wireless is now available for purchase at a suggested retail price of €249.00 on the beyerdynamic online shop and Amazon. Spare parts and ear tips can also be reordered for added convenience.

Technology Explained
Latency: Technology latency is the time it takes for a computer system to respond to a request. It is an important factor in the performance of computer systems, as it affects the speed and efficiency of data processing. In the computer industry, latency is a major factor in the performance of computer networks, storage systems, and other computer systems. Low latency is essential for applications that require fast response times, such as online gaming, streaming media, and real-time data processing. High latency can cause delays in data processing, resulting in slow response times and poor performance. To reduce latency, computer systems use various techniques such as caching, load balancing, and parallel processing. By reducing latency, computer systems can provide faster response times and improved performance.
