Samsung debuts 57″ Dual UHD 240 Hz gaming monitor

Samsung has launched its latest gaming monitors at Gamescom 2023, including the Odyssey Neo G9, a 57-inch dual UHD monitor with DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity, Quantum Mini-LED technology, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

Samsung has recently introduced its latest monitors at Gamescom. The highlight is the Odyssey Neo G9, a 57-inch dual UHD monitor that comes with DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity. This makes it compatible with modern Graphics Cards and enhances its overall performance. The Neo G9 features a 32:9 screen with dual UHD resolution, equivalent to having two 32-inch UHD monitors side by side. It utilizes Samsung’s Quantum Mini-LED technology, offering excellent visuals and mitigating the blooming effect. The monitor adheres to the DisplayHDR 1000 standard, providing a Peak Brightness of 1000 nits, a 1ms Response Time, and a Refresh Rate of 240Hz. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. In terms of connectivity, it offers both DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1, making it the first gaming-ready monitor compatible with the new DP standard. Samsung has also updated its 55-inch curved monitor, the Odyssey Ark, which now offers a 165Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time. The Neo G9 is available for pre-order at Gamescom 2023, while the Ark will be listed for pre-order in September.
