  • Offers an overclocked version of the RX 6700 non-XT, providing budget gamers with improved performance

AMD is reportedly working on a new Radeon GPU, the RX 6750 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition), which is aimed at budget-conscious gamers. This card is said to be based on the RX 6700 SKU but with higher clock speeds. The information was shared by Hoang Anh Phu on Twitter/X, who has a track record of leaking AMD release details.

The RX 6750 GRE is expected to feature a modified Navi 22 GPU with 2304 cores and a 10GB GDDR6 memory configuration connected via a 160-bit bus. It seems that this model has been developed in response to the cryptocurrency mining craze, which led to the repurposing of the RX 6700 non-XT as a gaming card after the mining boom ended.

The RX 6700 non-XT, originally known as BC-2235, was initially marketed as a mining card but was later repurposed for gamers. However, its power target of 175W limits its performance compared to the RX 6700 XT and RX 6750 XT, which have higher power consumption ratings. The RX 6750 GRE aims to bridge this performance gap with increased power consumption.

It is currently unclear when the RX 6750 GRE will be released or why it carries the “XX50” designation. Given the limited release scope of the original RX 6700, it is likely that the new GRE SKU will primarily target the Chinese DIY market.

Overall, this new Radeon GPU from AMD seems to offer an overclocked version of the RX 6700 non-XT, providing budget gamers with improved performance. However, more details are needed to fully understand its capabilities and potential impact on the market.
