CACAO
Combined Adaptive Compute Ambient Occlusion (CACAO), is a rendering technique that simulates how ambient light interacts with objects in a 3D scene, creating soft shadows and improving the perception of depth. CACAO, being adaptive, adjusts its level of detail dynamically based on the complexity of the scene. It uses the compute capabilities of AMD GPUs to calculate ambient occlusion more efficiently, resulting in better performance and visual fidelity.
