Intel’s upcoming Raptor Lake Refresh processors are generating buzz in the tech community, and a recent leak of the packaging for the Intel Core i9-14900k has only added to the excitement. Shared in a QQ group and posted by @9550pro, the leaked image confirms that Intel is already sending these processors to reviewers, signaling that media outlets and influencers have over two weeks to prepare their comprehensive coverage.

The leaked picture showcases the Core i9 box, importantly displaying the label for the 14th Gen series. Interestingly, this will be the final generation of client products to bear the iconic “i” branding, as Intel moves forward with their Core 3/5/7/9 Ultra branding for future chips like Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake.

While it’s unclear from the angle of the photo, it seems that Intel has made no significant changes to the packaging design compared to the previous generation of LGA-1700 desktop CPUs. One detail that remains uncertain is whether the box will include the plastic wafer, a feature present in the packaging of the 13900K.

The highly anticipated launch of the Raptor Lake Refresh series is scheduled for October 17th, and it will feature six SKUs, with the Core i9 models being the 14900K and 14900KF. These processors are rumored to offer impressive clock speeds of up to 6.0 GHz right out of the box. Intel plans to lift the ‘ad embargo’ on October 16th, followed by the ‘sales and review embargo’ on October 17th.

Interestingly, Intel did not make any public announcements about the 14th Gen Core series during its recent Innovation event. Instead, they showcased a demo featuring one of these processors without disclosing specific details such as specifications, pricing, and release date.

As we eagerly await more information about Intel’s Raptor Lake Refresh processors, a new photo from Truthdealer has surfaced, providing a clear view of the Core i9-14900K CPU label. Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting development in the world of computing.
