Welcome Back to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024!

After a much-needed break for the holiday season—complete with family time, festive cheer, and a little R&R—we’re back and ready to soar into the new year with some exciting updates for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Our team has been hard at work, and we can’t wait to share what’s on the horizon!

What’s New and What’s Coming?

As we kick off this year, our focus is on rolling out the first major updates, including Sim Update 1. We’ve been diving deep into your feedback from the past few weeks and months, and trust us, it’s shaping our priorities. Bug fixes and improvements are at the top of our to-do list, and we’re currently crafting the latest version of our Feedback Snapshot. Keep an eye out for that in next week’s blog—it’s going to be packed with insights!

But that’s not all! We’re thrilled to announce that World Update: Brazil is just around the corner. If you’re as excited as we are, stay tuned for more details on the timeline. Enhancing your simming experience is our mission, and we couldn’t do it without your continued support.

Fixes and Hotfixes

Just this Tuesday, we rolled out a server-side fix to address an issue that was causing some Career Mode missions to play hide-and-seek. Good news: those missions are back and ready for you to tackle! Additionally, we released a small hotfix patch (1.2.11.0) to tackle a pesky issue affecting avionics in certain aircraft—especially for our XBOX players and those using Low or Medium graphics settings on PC. We know how frustrating it can be when things don’t work as they should, and we’re committed to making sure everything runs smoothly.

Join Us for the Next Developer Livestream!

We’re also gearing up for our next Developer Livestream! While we’re still nailing down schedules for our panel members and special guests, we’ve opened up a web form where you can submit your burning questions ahead of time. We want to hear from you! Our team will sift through your submissions to ensure the most frequently asked questions get the spotlight during the broadcast.

Don’t forget to catch the livestream on our official Twitch channel. Make sure you follow us and turn on notifications so you won’t miss a moment of the action. We’re excited to connect with you and share all the latest updates!

Thank You for Your Support!

As we dive back into the world of flight simulation, we want to take a moment to thank you, our amazing community. Your feedback and enthusiasm drive us to keep enhancing the simming experience. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024! Buckle up; it’s going to be a thrilling ride!
