Micron Technology, Inc. has some exciting news for tech enthusiasts! The company has just announced expansions to its Crucial consumer memory and storage portfolio, and they’re bringing some impressive new products to the table. One of the highlights is the high-speed Crucial P510 SSD, which boasts read and write speeds of up to 11,000/9,550 megabytes per second (MB/s). That’s some seriously blazing fast Gen5 performance!

Dinesh Bahal, the corporate vice president and general manager of Micron’s Commercial Products Group, expressed his excitement about the new products. He said, “With the exciting memory and storage products we’re debuting today, Crucial’s portfolio is now broader and stronger than ever before. These updates illustrate our commitment to driving innovation, performance, and value for every consumer, from casual gamers to creatives and students to hardcore enthusiasts.”

To showcase their new products, Micron is attending the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week. They have a robust set of demos that highlight builds for every price point and computing use case. From high-end performance gaming to professional photography to mainstream home, office, and student use, Micron is covering all the bases. They’re collaborating with their ecosystem and systems integration partners to showcase their broad portfolio, featuring state-of-the-art devices from brands like ASRock, Beelink, be quiet!, Falcon Northwest, Gigabyte, Playstation, Mechrevo, ThundeRobot, and TRYX.

Now, let’s dive into the specifics of the new products. First up, we have the P510 SSD. This storage solution is perfect for both Laptops and desktops, and it comes with a new, more power-efficient architecture. In fact, it consumes 25% less power than previous Crucial Gen5 SSDs, which means longer battery life for users. The P510 is available in 1 terabyte (TB) and 2TB capacity options, and it even has an integrated heatsink. Plus, its single-sided design makes it easy to install, even in newer Gen5 enabled laptops.

But that’s not all! Micron is also expanding its SSD products with a heatsink version of the Crucial P310 2280 SSD. This version is designed to fit into and work with Playstation 5, but it can also be used with desktops. It provides desktop gamers and creators with unthrottled performance and offers read speeds of 7,100 MB/s. With this SSD, users can enjoy fast, reliable storage and capacity that’s both affordable and power-efficient.

In addition to the new storage products, Micron is significantly expanding its consumer memory portfolio. They have some exciting updates in this department as well. Let’s take a look:

– Crucial DDR5 Pro Overclocking (OC) Gaming Memory: Micron is now offering a new 32GB density option for its Crucial DDR5 Pro OC Gaming Memory. This memory was initially released in February at 6000 megatransfers per second (MT/s), followed by an October launch of the 6400 MT/s in 16GB densities. Now, with the 32GB offering available across both speed grades, gamers and DIYers can enjoy faster, smoother gameplay and multitasking without worrying about bottlenecks or slow frame rates.

– Crucial DDR5 Pro Plug-and-Play Memory: For those who need DDR5 performance right out of the box, Crucial has the solution. Their DDR5 Pro Plug-and-Play Memory improves system performance without the hassle of overclocking or Latency tuning. It’s available in a 64GB density with a speed of 5,600 MT/s, making it the world’s first DDR5 64GB module with a heat spreader. Users can also purchase a 128GB kit with two 64GB modules for even greater density. This memory allows consumers to future-proof their systems for data-intensive games and applications, as well as handle larger files and create high-quality content without worrying about system slowdowns.

– Crucial DDR5 CUDIMM/CSODIMM: Micron is expanding its line of CUDIMM and CSODIMM solutions. They now offer CUDIMM solutions in 32 and 64GB densities and CSODIMM solutions in 24 and 32GB densities at 6400 MT/s. With these additions, Micron has the broadest line of JEDEC-compliant CUDIMM and CSODIMMs in the market, making it easier for consumers to adopt the new form factors and accommodate data-intensive AI PCs.
