  • Enhances user engagement on the platform
  • Allows for quicker responses and interactions
  • Users have the option to disable the feature for privacy reasons

Threads da Meta, the popular platform for online interactions, is currently testing a new feature aimed at enhancing user engagement. Soon, Threads users will be able to easily identify when others are active on the platform. This new online status system will display a small activity indicator on user profiles, allowing for quicker responses and interactions.

The intention behind this feature is to foster increased engagement among users, enabling them to promptly connect with active individuals and ensure their content is being seen. The online status will be visible both on user profiles and through a small green dot next to their avatar, such as in platform posts. This way, users can easily assess whether someone is actively using Threads or not.

It’s worth noting that users will have the option to disable this feature for privacy reasons. Those who choose not to display their activity status will also not be able to see the status of others on the platform. Thankfully, this functionality is not enabled by default, so only users who desire it will need to configure and activate it in their account settings.

The rollout of this feature is expected to occur gradually over the next few weeks, reaching more users as it becomes available. Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting development.
