Meta's new AI model, Movie Gen, can create and edit short videos with added sound and effects, surpassing existing models in the market, but it is still in its early stages and not yet available to the public.
1. Advanced AI technology: Meta's Movie Gen utilizes advanced AI technology to create and edit videos, surpassing existing models in the market. 2. Ability to add sounds and effects: Unlike other AI models that focus solely on visual content, Meta's model can also add sounds and other effects to enhance the final video. 3. Customizable options: Users can provide their own content and specify desired alterations, such as adding effects or making minor changes, making it a customizable and user-friendly tool.
Among the companies focusing on AI technologies, Meta is one of them. Recently, the company launched its investment in generative AI technologies, and now they have introduced something new for those seeking content in this format. Meta has revealed its new technology called Movie Gen, which is essentially an AI model capable of creating and editing videos. According to the company, their technology surpasses existing ones in the market, such as OpenAI’s Sora, Adobe’s Firefly, and Pika Labs’ service.
The new AI model from Meta can create short videos based on text input of at least one sentence. In addition to the final video, the model can also add sounds and other associated effects, which is an improvement compared to existing models that solely focus on visual content. Moreover, Meta’s model can also edit videos and static images, such as photos, provided by users. Users simply need to provide the content and specify the desired alterations. For instance, they can add effects to an existing video or make minor changes to the final content using AI.
The Meta model can create and analyze content up to 16 seconds long, with a frame rate of 16 frames per second (FPS). It is possible to reduce the duration to ten seconds and increase the FPS to 24. The final content is created in Full HD resolution.
Currently, Meta’s technology is still in its early stages. There are no plans to make it commercially available to users, and the timeline for such availability remains unknown. The company itself considers it an ongoing experiment.
