Lenovo’s New ThinkCentre Desktops: Embracing AI PC Era with AMD Ryzen PRO 8000

Lenovo has recently launched its latest lineup of ThinkCentre desktops, featuring the powerful AMD Ryzen PRO 8000 Series desktop processors. These desktops come equipped with up to 16 TOPS (trillion operations per second) of integrated NPU capability, specifically designed to handle AI workloads. The new family of desktops includes the performance-focused ThinkCentre M75t Gen 5, the flexible ThinkCentre M75s Gen 5, and the compact ThinkCentre M75q Gen 5.

Lenovo recognizes the growing need for businesses to integrate AI into their operations, and these desktops are designed to meet those demands while optimizing energy efficiency. Sanjeev Menon, Vice President and General Manager at Lenovo, stated, “The AI PC era is already here, and at Lenovo, we are embracing it to unlock new possibilities.”

The ThinkCentre M75t Gen 5 tower and ThinkCentre M75s Gen 5 small form factor desktops are designed for multitasking and offer AI-accelerated power. With an AMD Ryzen PRO 8000 Series desktop processor, integrated graphics with AMD RDNA 3 technology, up to 64 GB DDR5 memory, and up to 2 TB of Gen 4 SSD storage, these desktops deliver impressive speed and performance for daily commercial tasks.

Lenovo’s chip-level AI features further enhance the intelligence and efficiency of these desktops. With power usage prioritization and an AI-driven fan that optimizes fan speed, the system remains cool and quiet. The AI features also adapt to user behavior, resulting in a smarter and more efficient workhorse.

For businesses requiring expandability, both the ThinkCentre M75t Gen 5 and ThinkCentre M75s Gen 5 offer flexible expansion slots, nine USB ports for easy connectivity, and support for up to four independent displays. The ThinkCentre M75t Gen 5 tower desktop also provides the option to host an AMD Radeon RX 550 4G or AMD Radeon RX 6600LE graphics card, making it ideal for content creators, engineers, and artists.

In addition to these performance-focused desktops, Lenovo introduces the compact ThinkCentre M75q Gen 5. Despite its small size, this tiny desktop packs a punch with an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8700GE desktop processor, integrated graphics with AMD RDNA 3 technology, and up to 64 GB of dual-channel DDR5 memory. The ThinkCentre M75q Gen 5 is expandable, customizable, and easily upgradable, making it suitable for various environments such as banking, healthcare, and retail.

Security and peace of mind are also prioritized in the ThinkCentre M75 Gen 5 family of desktops. They are eligible for optional Lenovo Premier Support Plus service, offering 24/7/365 support. The desktops are Secured-core PCs with the Microsoft Pluton security processor, providing the highest level of Windows protection. Lenovo ThinkShield, a comprehensive security solution, further enhances data protection.

Lenovo’s commitment to sustainability is evident in the ThinkCentre M75 Gen 5 desktops, with the use of recycled plastics in their construction. The packaging also incorporates environmentally friendly materials.

To enhance the capability of these desktops, Lenovo offers an optional Smart Cable for easy USB-A and USB-C connections to peripherals and other devices. This allows users to control multiple devices using a single keyboard, mouse, or touchpad.

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M75t Gen 5 will be available in select global markets, while the ThinkCentre M75s Gen 5 and ThinkCentre M75q Gen 5 are already available with starting prices of $709 and $749 respectively.
