Logitech International has launched the Mevo Core, the latest addition to its Mevo ecosystem of live streaming cameras. The Mevo Core is a compact and intuitive 4K camera designed for live streaming and content creation, offering full control from a smartphone or tablet. With its sleek design and versatile mounting options, the Mevo Core features an interchangeable lens design that allows streamers to achieve high-quality results with ease.
According to Otto Cedeno, head of Mevo, the aim is to democratize live content creation by providing a camera that combines the beautiful 4K DSLR level quality with simplicity. Every aspect of the camera, from adjusting the optical zoom to setting the focus, can be done with simple taps on a mobile device. This accessibility makes it an ideal choice for both beginners and experienced content creators.
Setting up a professional camera can be time-consuming and complicated, requiring additional software, encoders, and cords. Managing multiple devices can also be discouraging, especially for new streamers. The Mevo Core eliminates these challenges by offering a professional 4K camera that seamlessly integrates with the Mevo Multicam App, a mobile production studio that can be taken anywhere. The app allows content creators to connect and control multiple Mevo Core cameras simultaneously.
With a powerful 6-hour battery life and built-in Wi-Fi 6E support, the Mevo Core provides flexibility in camera placement. Its Micro Four Thirds sensor enables professional video capturing in stunning 4K30p quality and high-definition 1080p30 live streams. Content creators have the freedom to choose the lens that suits their needs and can easily tap to focus and start streaming.
Customization and creativity are at the heart of the Mevo Core’s design. Creators can select their preferred lens and adjust key professional features like aperture and focus. The built-in 3-mic array, enhanced with spatial audio processing and noise cancellation, ensures clear audio by detecting and eliminating unwanted background noise. Content can be streamed directly to platforms like YouTube and Twitch using the Mevo Multicam app.
For advanced scenarios, the Mevo Core offers additional connectivity options through its HDMI output and built-in NDI and SRT integration. This allows creators to connect to various workflows and enhances the video connectivity experience. The camera can also be used as a wireless or wired HD webcam compatible with Mac or Windows computers, making it a versatile tool for any setup.
The Mevo Core is priced at $999 for the camera body only and is available for purchase on Mevo.com, B&H Photo Video, and Amazon in the US and Canada. Lens bundles will also be offered at select retailers.

Technology Explained
Wi-Fi 6E: WiFi 6E is the latest iteration of the WiFi standard, offering faster speeds and improved performance. It is designed to take advantage of the newly available 6GHz frequency band, which is much less congested than the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. This means that WiFi 6E can provide faster speeds and more reliable connections, even in crowded areas. It is also more secure, as it uses the latest encryption standards. In the computer industry, WiFi 6E can be used to provide faster and more reliable connections for laptops, tablets, and other devices. It can also be used to provide better coverage in large buildings, such as offices and universities. Additionally, it can be used to provide better connections for streaming services, such as Netflix and Hulu, as well as for gaming.
