XPG, a gaming memory brand, introduces PCB thermal coating technology to reduce temperatures in overclocked DDR5 memory, and will launch LANCER RGB and NEON RGB series modules with this technology.

  • Introduction of PCB thermal coating technology to overclocked memory
  • Significant reduction in temperatures by more than 10%
  • Enhanced heat dissipation efficiency of 10.8%

Adata Technology’s e-sports brand XPG is known for its high-performance and stylishly designed e-sports products catering to gamers, tech enthusiasts, and overclockers. One of the challenges faced by high-speed overclocked gaming memory is the generation of high temperatures, which can impact system stability, performance, and reliability. To address this issue, XPG is at the forefront of the industry by introducing PCB thermal coating technology to overclocked memory, effectively reducing temperatures by more than 10%.

This PCB thermal coating technology will be implemented in the second quarter on high-end overclocked DDR5 gaming memory with a clock speed of 8000MT/s or more. By incorporating heat conduction, heat radiation, and insulation into an optimized solder mask, XPG’s PCB heat dissipation technology not only insulates but also dissipates and conducts heat, resulting in superior cooling. Compared to standard overclocked DDR5 gaming memory heatsinks, this coating significantly increases the dissipation area and efficiency, effectively reducing heat generation at high clock speeds.

Real-world testing has demonstrated an impressive 8.5°C temperature reduction in overclocked DDR5 memory equipped with the PCB heat dissipating coating technology, compared to standard overclocked memory. Moreover, the enhanced heat dissipation efficiency of 10.8% ensures users can enjoy extreme overclocking while maintaining high performance, without compromising their experience.

As a leading memory brand, ADATA Technology remains committed to innovation and breakthroughs. With the rise of AI computing, speed has become a paramount objective for the market. Consequently, temperature issues arising from high-performance computing have become a common concern for everyone. XPG recognizes this challenge and has prioritized the application of the latest thermal coating technology to overclocked DDR5 gaming memory running at 8000MT/s or more.

The highly anticipated LANCER NEON RGB and popular LANCER RGB series memory modules, featuring the heat dissipating coating, are expected to be launched in the second quarter and officially launched at Computex 2024. For more detailed information about these products, visit the XPG website.

PCB: Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are the backbone of the modern computer industry. They are thin boards made of a non-conductive material, such as fiberglass, with a thin layer of copper on top. This copper layer is etched with a pattern of electrical pathways that connect the various components of a computer together. PCBs are used in almost every electronic device, from computers to cell phones, and are essential for the functioning of these devices. They provide a reliable and efficient way to connect the components of a computer, allowing for faster and more reliable communication between them. The use of PCBs has revolutionized the computer industry, allowing for smaller, faster, and more reliable computers.
