Cincoze, the brand in rugged embedded computing, is expanding its range of embedded computers with the launch of two new models – the P2202 Series and P1201. These industrial computers, which hit the market in 2023, have quickly gained popularity among customers for their sleek and lightweight design, making them ideal for mobile devices such as AGV/AMR, control cabinets, and other space-constrained applications.
One standout feature that has caught the attention of users is the “One Computer / Two Purposes” function. These slim embedded computers, powered by Cincoze’s patented Convertible Display System (CDS) technology (Patent no. M482908), can transform into panel PCs. This unique capability allows them to provide performance, screen size, display ratio, and touch options tailored to various application environments, enabling the creation of diverse and flexible HMI and KIOSK applications.
The P2202 Series comprises two models – the P2202 and P2202E with PCIe expansion. Equipped with an Intel Core i3/i5 U-Series (Alder Lake-P) CPU and supporting up to 64 GB of DDR5-4800 memory, these computers boast a slim design measuring 254.5 x 190 x 41.5 mm (Model: P2202). They offer a rich array of native I/O and can also accommodate 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth wireless modules through built-in Mini PCIe and M.2 Key E slots. The P2202E model goes a step further by featuring a PCIe x4 slot capable of supporting 75 W expansion cards. Additionally, Cincoze’s exclusive modular expansion design allows users to add extra functions like PoE and IGN. Not compromising on quality, the P2202 Series meets Cincoze’s high standards and can operate reliably in wide temperature ranges (-40°C to 70°C) and voltages (9 to 48VDC). It has also successfully passed various vibration and shock reliability tests, including sinusoidal vibration (1G), random vibration (5G), and shock resistance (50G). Moreover, it meets industrial environment EMC standards (EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4), further demonstrating its reliability.
On the other hand, the P1201 model is powered by an Intel Atom x6425E (Elkhart Lake) quad-core processor and supports up to 32 GB of DDR4-3200 memory. Its native I/O, including 1 GbE LAN, USB3.2 Gen 2, COM, and DIO, caters to most application needs. The built-in M.2 Key E slot supports Wi-Fi 6 / Intel CNVi / Bluetooth modules, while the Mini PCIe slot accommodates a GNSS/4G module, ensuring comprehensive wireless communication coverage. The P1201 is not only power-efficient but also adheres to the strictest quality requirements. Like the P2202 Series, it can operate reliably in wide temperature ranges (-40°C to 70°C) and voltages (9 to 48VDC). It has successfully passed sinusoidal vibration (1G), random vibration (5G), and shock resistance (50G) tests, in addition to meeting EMC standards for industrial environments (EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4) and U.S. UL safety certification. These rigorous tests and certifications guarantee that the P1201 can perform stably and reliably in various harsh industrial environments.
Cincoze’s patented CDS technology enables customers to connect the slim embedded computers from the P2202 Series and P1201 to display modules tailored to specific application needs. This technology offers three ranges of display modules, resulting in three different ranges of panel PCs. The industrial panel PCs (CV+P Series) cater to general industrial environments and come in a range of display sizes from 8.4″ to 24″. The sunlight-readable panel PCs (CS+P) feature high brightness levels of up to 1,800 nits, making them suitable for outdoor use. Lastly, the open frame panel PCs (CO+P) come with an adjustable mounting bracket (Patent no. D224544, D224545) for easy installation in equipment machines. The CDS technology also offers the advantage of plug-and-play, simplifying field-side maintenance and future upgrades while ensuring robust support for industrial site operations.
