ASUS introduces the BTF ecosystem, featuring hidden connectors and a minimalist aesthetic for clean and organized PC builds, including motherboards, chassis, and graphics cards.
- Provides a clean and organized aesthetic for PC builds
- Eliminates the need for traditional power connectors, allowing for a sleeker look
- Offers a range of high-performance components for builders to create showcase-worthy PCs
ASUS has launched its latest innovation in PC building with the introduction of the ROG BTF and TUF Gaming BTF White ecosystems. These new systems are designed to provide a clean and organized aesthetic by hiding cables, allowing builders to achieve a sleek look for their PCs.
The key to this innovation lies in the PCIe high-power connector on Graphics Cards that is compatible with the graphics card high-power slot on BTF motherboards. This allows users to tuck away all the cables that connect directly to the motherboard, including power cables, SATA drives, case fans, and front-panel buttons and I/O ports.
ASUS offers two options within the BTF ecosystem: BTF and Advanced BTF. The BTF components provide users with plenty of options for hidden-connector builds. However, for those who want to hide the PCIe power cable as well, ASUS offers the Advanced BTF approach. Advanced BTF motherboards come with a graphics card high-power slot that can supply all the power needed for a BTF graphics card.
One of the standout options in the ROG BTF lineup is the ROG Maximus Z790 Hero BTF motherboard. This premium board takes design cues from the ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero, featuring shadowy tones, armored panels, and hulking VRM heatsinks. The board also boasts Polymo lighting on the I/O shroud, adding a luminous ROG design to the build. With hidden connectors and cleaner edges, the ROG Maximus Z790 Hero BTF offers a major step forward for builders who prefer a minimalist aesthetic.
The ROG Maximus Z790 Hero BTF is equipped with a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for high-end graphics cards, dual Thunderbolt 4 connectors for next-gen peripherals, and ROG SupremeFX 7.1 audio with an ESS ES9218 Quad DAC for crisp gaming audio. It also features a USB 20 Gbps connector for high-bandwidth USB Type-C connectivity. With voltage regulator modules featuring 20+1+2 power stages, the motherboard is ready to handle top-shelf Intel processors. Additionally, it offers ample M.2 support for high-speed and spacious storage options.
Another notable motherboard in the BTF lineup is the TUF Gaming Z790-BTF WiFi. This motherboard features a bold white design with premium black PCB and white shrouds and heatsinks. It offers an enhanced power solution with 16+1+1 power stages, a six-layer PCB, ProCool sockets, alloy chokes, and durable capacitors. The TUF Gaming Z790-BTF WiFi is also compatible with Advanced BTF builds and offers WiFi 7 support and a high-speed Intel 2.5 Gb Ethernet port.
To complement the BTF motherboards, ASUS is offering two chassis options: the ROG Hyperion GR701 BTF Edition and the TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB. These chassis feature motherboard tray cutouts that allow easy access to the connectors on BTF motherboards. The ROG Hyperion GR701 BTF Edition offers outstanding cooling performance with dual 420 mm radiator support and built-in fan hub. The TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB, on the other hand, features four 140 mm ARGB fans for great airflow and Static Pressure, as well as a detachable top panel for easy installation and cleaning of AIO liquid CPU Coolers.
ASUS has also developed BTF graphics cards to complete the hidden-connector builds. The ROG Strix Geforce RTX 4090 BTF Edition and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER BTF White Edition feature a PCIe high-power connector on the bottom for power transmission, eliminating the need for traditional power connectors that can disrupt the clean aesthetic.
Overall, ASUS’s BTF ecosystem offers PC builders a new approach to cable management, allowing for clean and organized builds with hidden connectors. With options like the ROG Maximus Z790 Hero BTF motherboard, TUF Gaming Z790-BTF WiFi motherboard, ROG Hyperion GR701 BTF Edition chassis, TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB chassis, and BTF graphics cards, builders have a range of high-performance components to create showcase-worthy PCs.
ASUS has also partnered with major PC case manufacturers to create the BTF Alliance, offering a wide range of BTF-compatible PC cases. Users can expect to see these chassis options launching in the first quarter of 2024, with manufacturers like Thermaltake, InWin, Phanteks, Cooler Master, Corsair, SilverStone, be quiet!, Lian Li, and Aerocool joining the alliance.
With the ASUS BTF ecosystem, PC builders can now achieve a clean and professional-looking build without compromising on performance or functionality.
