This move solidifies Phison’s position as the only provider of a wide range of multi-channel PCIe 5.0 redriver and retimer solutions, as well as PCIe 5.0 storage solutions, specifically designed to meet the demands of AI and machine learning, edge computing, high-performance computing, and other data-intensive applications.
At the 2023 Open Compute Project Global Summit, Phison is showcasing its comprehensive PCIe 5.0 portfolio, demonstrating the capabilities of the redriver and retimer technologies alongside other enterprise NAND flash solutions. This display exemplifies Phison’s vision for a holistic PCIe 5.0 data ecosystem that addresses the most demanding requirements of the AI-driven era.

Additionally, the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) provides users with a user-friendly diagnostic tool and standard C-SDK for real-time monitoring and management.
Phison’s PCIe 5.0 Redrivers PS7102 and PS7103, accompanied by the PHiTUNE software, have received certification from PCI-SIG. These redriver solutions offer advanced signal enhancement, up to 28.5dB equalization range, low latency, and CXL 2.0 compatibility. With models such as the PS7101 2-lane redriver, PS7102 8-channel redriver, and PS7103 16-lane redriver, Phison’s redriver solutions provide pin-to-pin compatibility with competing solutions. The integration of the PHiTUNE software with Phison’s E26 PCIe Gen 5 SSD allows for automatic detection of recovery counts and AI-based determination of optimal gain parameters. This unique auto tuning tool empowers R&D engineers to optimize signal parameters in just 30 minutes.
Phison’s redrivers also offer support for unique I2C modes of operation, linearity up to 1200mVpp, linear swing feature, EQ boosting range up to 28.5 dB, and improved signal extension capabilities compared to rival products. These features contribute to more accurate signal transmission and reception, ensuring high-quality performance.
