Touchscreen and Stylus Support

Here’s a first for us: the Framework Laptop 12 is our inaugural touchscreen laptop! We’ve gone all out with a 360-degree hinge and stylus support. We’re also launching a color-matched stylus that features tilt and pressure sensitivity—perfect for artists and note-takers alike. While we finalize that, feel free to use any USI 2.0 or MPP 2.0-compatible stylus. Whether you’re on Linux or Windows, the touchscreen and stylus experience is seamless.

Built to Last and Easy to Repair

At Framework, we believe in sustainability, which is why all our products are repairable, upgradeable, and customizable. With the Laptop 12, we’ve upped the ante on durability. The two-tone colorways aren’t just for aesthetics; they serve a purpose! The chassis features a shock-absorbing TPU overmolded onto a sturdy plastic frame, tested to MIL-STD-810 standards. This means it can survive drops from about 1.2 meters (or 48 inches) onto plywood—impressive, right?
