Xiaomi ceases updates for four popular models, leaving users in the lurch.

The list of devices includes the Redmi 10C, POCO X4 Pro 5G, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 11 Ultra. With the end of their update lifespan, these devices will remain on HyperOS 1, which is still based on Android 13. They will also no longer receive regular security updates for Android. However, considering the timing of their release, this news shouldn’t come as a complete surprise.

For those who are willing to take a risk, there is always the option of using a custom ROM. But it’s important to note that this may come with its own set of potential issues and is more suitable for advanced users with technical knowledge to modify the system.
