Overwatch 2's 15th season brings new perks, a third-person mode, and loot boxes, with a new game mode and season starting on February 18th.
- New set of Perks for all heroes
- Introduction of new loot boxes
- New game mode called Stadium
Overwatch 2 is gearing up for its 15th season, and along with it comes some exciting changes to the game’s structure. Blizzard has confirmed that these changes aim to breathe new life into the game and provide a fresh experience for all players.
To kick off the season, users will have access to a brand new set of Perks for all heroes. On top of that, a new third-person mode, new characters, and the introduction of new loot boxes are also on the horizon.
With the Perks, players can level up their heroes twice per round, allowing them to enhance their abilities. The first level-up provides a modest boost, while the second focuses on significantly improving the offensive weapons against enemies. This adds a layer of strategy and customization to the gameplay, empowering players to tailor their heroes to their preferred playstyle.
Speaking of loot boxes, they are making a comeback in this new season after being removed in 2022. However, Blizzard has yet to reveal whether players will be able to directly purchase access to open these loot boxes or if they can only be earned through in-game progression.
As we look ahead to Season 16, Blizzard has teased a new game mode called Stadium, which promises to offer a completely fresh gaming experience. This mode will also feature a third-person perspective, allowing players to have a better view of their surroundings and immerse themselves in the game world.
The 15th season of Overwatch 2 is set to kick off on February 18th for both PC and consoles. So mark your calendars and get ready for some thrilling new additions to the game. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, these changes are sure to inject some excitement into your Overwatch 2 experience.
