Warner Bros. Games and Player First Games have announced that the fifth season of MultiVersus will also be its final chapter, as the online servers will be permanently shut down afterwards. This news has left fans both excited and saddened, as they prepare to bid farewell to this beloved game.
The fifth season is scheduled to run from February 4th to May 30th, 2025. Once the season concludes, players will only be able to enjoy the game in offline mode. However, before the servers go offline, players will still have access to local gameplay, whether against AI opponents or with up to three friends in local network mode.
It’s worth noting that in order to access this mode, all players must have participated in the fifth season and have an active save game from that season. This save game will remain synchronized across different platforms where the game is currently available.
Starting from January 31st, all in-game purchases have been blocked to prevent any further payments during this phase. However, players still have the opportunity to unlock certain characters and items throughout the final season.
On May 30th, the game will no longer be available for download on digital platforms. However, for those who have already installed it, they can still enjoy the game in offline mode, albeit without any new content updates.
The announcement of MultiVersus’ final season has sparked mixed emotions among players. Some are eager to make the most of the remaining time, while others are already reminiscing about their favorite moments and characters. It’s a bittersweet ending for a game that has brought joy and excitement to countless players.
As we approach the end of this epic saga, it’s a reminder that all good things must come to an end. But fear not, for the memories and experiences shared within MultiVersus will live on in the hearts of its dedicated community. So gather your friends, embark on one last adventure, and make this final season one to remember.
