MultiVersus Season 5: The Final Chapter
Hey there, gamers! We’ve got some bittersweet news to share about MultiVersus that’s sure to hit home for many of you. After a lot of thought, the team has decided that Season 5 will be the last seasonal content update for the game. Mark your calendars because this final season kicks off on February 4, 2025, and runs through May 30, 2025. But it’s not all sad news—this season is bringing some exciting new characters to the roster!
New Characters Join the Fray
Get ready to welcome two fan-favorites: Aquaman from DC and Lola Bunny from Looney Tunes! Both characters will be earnable through gameplay, so you can snag them without spending a dime. When Season 5 launches on February 4 at 9 a.m. PST, Aquaman will be available right off the bat as the first-tier reward in the Battle Pass, while Lola Bunny can be snagged as a daily calendar login reward. How cool is that?
What Happens After Season 5?
Now, let’s talk about what’s next. All online features will remain active until the season wraps up on May 30 at 9 a.m. PST. After that, you’ll still be able to dive into MultiVersus offline. You can play solo against AI or gather up to three friends for some local gameplay fun. Just make sure to log in during Season 5 to create a local save file linked to your account, whether it’s on Playstation Network, Microsoft Store, Steam, or Epic Games Store. This way, you’ll keep all your earned and purchased content for offline play.
The End of Real Money Transactions
A quick heads-up: starting January 31, real money transactions for MultiVersus will no longer be available. This means you can’t buy Gleamium anymore, but don’t worry! You can still use any remaining Gleamium or character tokens to access in-game content until Season 5 ends. Just a reminder that once Season 5 concludes, the game will no longer be available for download from the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, or Epic Games Store.
