A programmer has successfully created a highly customized version of Windows 11, called Tiny11, that can run on just 184 MB of RAM, showcasing the potential for optimization and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

- Showcases the potential for optimization in the system
Windows 11 has some pretty hefty hardware requirements, which means not all systems can officially run it. One of those requirements is RAM, and the more you have, the better. But it seems like programmer NTDEV wants to go against the grain.
This programmer is known for pushing the limits of Windows 11, and they recently achieved quite a feat by getting Microsoft’s latest system to run on just 184 MB of RAM. Of course, to accomplish this, they had to make some sacrifices and compromises compared to what we expect from Windows 11.
Firstly, they used a highly customized version of the system that they themselves developed, called Tiny11. This version of Windows 11 removes some of the limitations and requirements of the original version, allowing it to run on hardware that isn’t officially supported.
Additionally, the system only booted up in a “stable” manner using Safe Mode, which also significantly limits its functionality. Still, it’s an impressive feat that showcases just how optimized the system can be.
Of course, Microsoft does not recommend this version of Windows 11, as it is a modified version and may have its own set of issues. Furthermore, it removes a significant portion of unnecessary native applications and background services that Windows 11 typically comes with.
It’s fascinating to see the lengths some programmers will go to push the boundaries of what’s possible. While this customized version of Windows 11 may not be for everyone, it’s a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of the tech community. Who knows what other amazing feats we’ll see in the future?
