The “Super HDR” option was recently discovered in the source code of One UI 7, with a description that suggests it only activates the HDR effect for photos and content captured by Galaxy devices. In other words, based on the description, this effect would only be activated for photos and videos taken with Samsung devices that have integrated HDR technology.

However, when the option is disabled, it could potentially prevent HDR from being applied to third-party app content, avoiding any potential issues that may arise, such as problems with video colors or the interface of certain apps.

This is a well-known problem with certain devices, especially Google Pixel devices, where the interface can change when HDR content is processed within them. An example of this can be seen in photos on social media, where the photo may be processed differently as you scroll through HDR, darkening other parts of the interface.
