Digi, a new telecommunications company, has faced controversies and complaints from users regarding number configuration, portability requests, customer support, service failures, and roaming issues.
- Potential to shake up the market
- Relatively simple process for obtaining SIM card
- Some satisfied users
Digi, the new player in the telecommunications market, has been making waves with its attempt to compete with the big players. However, it seems that the company’s commercial launch has been met with some controversies. While Digi’s plans and services have the potential to shake up the market, users are facing a rather complicated experience.
According to the consumer complaint platform, Portal da Queixa, Digi has received a total of 388 complaints since its launch in Portugal. The company currently has a response rating of 59.4 out of 100. So, what are users complaining about?
One of the main issues users are facing is problems with number configuration, as well as difficulties with portability requests. Many users have also complained about the lack of customer support, with long wait times and difficulties in obtaining portability data from Digi.
Obtaining a Digi SIM card is relatively simple, but users who eventually want to switch to another provider are encountering problems in obtaining their portability codes – a necessary step to migrate to another operator. Unfortunately, Digi doesn’t provide a direct way to view these codes, leaving users dependent on the support team – which, as mentioned earlier, is also facing complaints due to slow response times.
Service failures are also a concern, with some customers reporting issues related to coverage, slow internet speeds, and outages. These problems are affecting both fixed internet and mobile services. Some users have even taken to social media to express their frustrations, citing difficulties in making calls to Digi numbers, poor call quality, and the inability to send SMS messages.
Lastly, there have been reports of problems with roaming, with users experiencing difficulties in making and receiving calls when roaming is active. It’s worth noting that despite these criticisms, there are some users who are satisfied with Digi’s service. Additionally, it’s important to remember that the company’s commercial operations are relatively new, so there is always room for improvement in the future.
