QNAP Systems has released the QSW-M7308R-4X, a 100GbE managed switch with L3 Lite management capabilities, designed to assist enterprises in efficiently managing large-scale high-speed network infrastructure within a limited budget and accelerating bandwidth-intensive applications.

QNAP Systems, a prominent innovator in computing, networking, and storage solutions, has unveiled its latest offering: the QSW-M7308R-4X, a 100GbE managed switch that supports the cutting-edge QSS Pro with L3 Lite management capabilities. This switch is designed to assist enterprises in efficiently managing large-scale high-speed network infrastructure within a limited budget, while also accelerating bandwidth-intensive applications such as 4K/8K video streaming, Big Data, AI, and AV-over-IP.

According to Jerry Deng, Product Manager of QNAP, the QSW-M7308R-4X is a game-changer for enterprises. “A 100GbE switch with high-density ports allows enterprises to conveniently expand network scale to meet future requirements,” Deng said. “The QSW-M7308R-4X L3 Lite switch adds flexibility to enterprise network management and provides scalability for secure enterprise high-speed network infrastructure, thus significantly reducing maintenance and management costs.”

The QSW-M7308R-4X boasts twelve network ports, including four 100GbE QSFP28 and eight 25GbE SFP28 fiber ports. The 25GbE SFP28 interface is also compatible with 10GbE SFP+ and 1Gb SFP. The switch utilizes the latest QNAP Switch System (QSS) Pro network management software, which offers L3 Lite management capabilities such as IP settings (IPv4, IPv6, DNS), static routing, DHCP server, SNTP, and advanced VLAN features. These features enable more precise deployment and management of segmented network transmission infrastructures. Additionally, the QSW-M7308R-4X supports Multi-chassis Link Aggregation (MC-LAG) to ensure uninterrupted switch networking, providing high availability and fault tolerance.

The switch also includes IGMP Snooping functions and SNMP management, along with an AV-over-IP wizard. These features allow the QSW-M7308R-4X to connect multiple AV endpoints and forward multicast traffic, reducing network congestion and unnecessary data transmission. This results in lower Latency, improved network connection efficiency, and optimized network management.
