Adata Technology and Micron Taiwan have joined forces in support of the Taiwan government’s “Green Network Project for Natural Landscape Conservation.” The companies have adopted the “Taichung Coastal Wetland Conservation Belt” and recently held a signing ceremony during a tree planting event. ADATA Technology Chairman Simon Chen and Micron Taiwan Chairman Donghui Lu were present, along with Chen Chijung, Deputy Branch Director of the Taichung Branch of the Forest and Nature Conservation Agency.
The joint effort aims to restore nature and protect native habitats, with the ultimate goal of building a sustainable future for Taiwan. Forests play a crucial role in environmental benefits such as water conservation, soil conservation, and carbon sequestration. Unfortunately, global deforestation is occurring at an alarming rate, driven by factors like extreme climate events and illegal logging.
To combat this issue, ADATA Technology and Micron Taiwan have signed a three-year forestation and adoption plan in Taichung, focusing on creating a natural fortress for Taiwan’s coastline. Under the guidance of the Forest and Nature Conservation Agency, employees from both companies participated in the tree planting process, showcasing their commitment to forestation and restoration.
Simon Chen emphasized ADATA’s dedication to global reforestation, announcing a project set to launch in 2024. Starting in Taiwan, the company aims to expand its greening efforts worldwide, mitigating the negative impact of climate change through tree planting and claiming more green spaces for humanity.
In addition to their joint efforts, ADATA Technology plans to collaborate with One Tree Planted, a non-profit organization. Through the ADATA DAY initiative, the public will be invited to participate in online challenges while ADATA plants trees around the world, contributing to the improvement of the global environment.
As part of its commitment to sustainability, ADATA Technology has extended its brand slogan from “Innovating the Future” to “Innovating for Our Future.” The company’s corporate mission now revolves around creating a sustainable future. In line with this mission, ADATA actively implements environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, including supporting the disadvantaged, contributing to society’s common prosperity, improving corporate governance, and developing energy-saving and carbon-reducing solutions.
To accelerate their response to the challenges posed by climate change, ADATA has called on employees to invest their time in tree planting and beach clean-up activities. The company aims to inspire its employees and business partners to join sustainable actions and work towards the goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. By doing so, ADATA hopes to build a greener and cleaner future for future generations.
