Panasonic Connect has introduced the TOUGHBOOK G2mk2 and 33mk3 rugged tablets, offering enhanced durability, battery life, customization options, connectivity, and performance for modern mobile workers in various industries.
- Exceptional durability and ruggedness, suitable for use in any environment
- Market-leading performance and enhanced connectivity for demanding applications
- Modular design and customization options for different mobile worker needs
Panasonic Connect has launched the latest versions of its rugged Tablets, the TOUGHBOOK G2mk2 and 33mk3. These devices offer exceptional durability, battery life, customization options, connectivity, and performance, making them an ideal solution for modern mobile workers in any task, application, or environment.
The TOUGHBOOK G2mk2 and 33mk3 boast market-leading performance, enhanced connectivity, and increased modularity to cater to different mobile worker needs. Powered by the 12th generation Intel Core (Alder Lake) i5 processor range with Intel vPro Technology, these devices can handle demanding applications on Windows 11 Pro. For users requiring even more power, there is an optional Intel Core i7 processor with Intel vPro Technology available.
Both tablets feature Intel Iris Xe Graphics technology, which delivers superior graphics performance. This is particularly important for emergency services personnel who use the TOUGHBOOK 33 as a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT). The tablet allows them to access detailed mapping and point of interest data in their vehicles, providing real-time updates during critical situations.
The latest TOUGHBOOK G2 offers unparalleled customization options, taking modular design to new heights. It also prioritizes security, with the ability to add a fingerprint reader to the rear expansion area for secure access to sensitive data. Additionally, the G2mk2 Top Expansion Area now supports a MicroSD Memory Card Slot, enabling quick data access and transfer in the field.
Panasonic recognizes the growing demand for 5G connectivity and ensures that the G2mk2 is ready to connect to 5G private networks out of the box. This is beneficial for industries such as transport, logistics, manufacturing, and emergency services, as it allows them to leverage dedicated, fully customized private 5G networks for improved communication and data transfer.
Both the G2mk2 and 33mk3 come equipped with Thunderbolt connectivity, enabling high-bandwidth data, power, and video transfers. They also feature the latest Wi-Fi technology (Intel Wireless 6E AX211), which optimizes bandwidth usage to conserve battery power.
The ruggedness of the G2mk2 and 33mk3 is unmatched, with military-grade durability and IP65-rated water and dust resistance. This makes them suitable for use in any environment, unaffected by drops, vibrations, extreme temperatures, or other potential hazards. In the transport and logistics sector, the versatile design of the 33mk3 allows it to be mounted in forklifts when needed and easily detached for other applications in the warehouse, enhancing flexibility and efficiency.
The battery life of the TOUGHBOOK G2mk2 and 33mk3 remains the same, but Panasonic has improved the measurement methods to align with the usage patterns of modern workers. This ensures accurate information about battery performance, especially for those using power-intensive applications.
Dirk Weigelt, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Panasonic Connect, highlights the balanced combination of performance, cost-efficiency, and battery life offered by the TOUGHBOOK G2mk2 and 33mk3. These latest iterations demonstrate Panasonic’s deep understanding of customer requirements across various industries, enabling mobile workers to consistently perform at their best in the field.
