Wired Productions releases Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, a city-building game, on various platforms, and reveals plans for a trilogy with the third game, Project Ancient Waves, focusing on the human perspective of running a society.
- Highly anticipated sequel to award-winning game
- Immersive experience in a richly detailed world
- Planned year's worth of support with free and paid content
Wired Productions, the publisher behind the highly anticipated game Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, is excited to announce its release today on various platforms including PC, Playstation 4 & 5, XBOX Series S|X, and XBOX One. Developed by the talented independent developer Tomas Sala, this game offers players an immersive experience in the tumultuous world of the Ursee. With a richly detailed landscape scarred by war and conflict, players will have the opportunity to rebuild and shape their own domain through intuitive controls.
But that’s not all. Wired Productions and Tomas Sala have also revealed that Bulwark: The Falconeer Chronicles is just the second installment in what will be a trilogy of games. The third game, currently known as Project Ancient Waves, aims to bring a more human perspective to the grand world created in the first two releases. It will focus on the individuals who play integral roles in running a society and tell their stories. More details about this exciting project will be launched later this year.
Furthermore, Tomas Sala has planned a year’s worth of support for Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles. In late April, Sala and Wired Productions will share a roadmap detailing both free and paid content that will be released to expand the gameplay and story of Bulwark.
Speaking about the release of Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles and the upcoming Project Ancient Waves, Tomas Sala expressed both excitement and apprehension. He described the game as his most creative and unconstrained work, aiming to capture the joy of creation and the thrill of uncovering shape and form over time. Sala acknowledged that his games may not offer frictionless experiences like many other companies strive for, but he has been overwhelmed by the positive response from players. He looks forward to seeing what players uncover in his shared journey.
Sala also shared his vision for the next game in the trilogy, expressing a desire to explore the smallest roles and actors in a grand set of events. He envisions showing the three epochs of this world, from a society stuck and fixed in place, attempting to break free through violence and conflict (The Falconeer), to the process of rebuilding and the walls people build around them (Bulwark), and finally, the collapse of a society as experienced by the people living through the preludes to such an event.
Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles is the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning and BAFTA-nominated aerial combat game, The Falconeer. Set 40 years after the events of its predecessor, Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles shifts the focus from aerial combat to city-building. Players will have the freedom to unleash their creativity without limits in a fantastical open world.
The game is now available on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Steam, EGS, GoG, Utomik, and the Xbox family of consoles, priced at £14.99/$19.99/€19.99.
