Drop, the mechanical keyboard brand, has launched its latest addition to the CSTM line of customizable keyboards – the CSTM65. This compact 65% mechanical keyboard offers a portable typing experience without compromising on customization options. The CSTM65 features an interchangeable, magnetic case that covers the entire keyboard, allowing users to easily personalize their device. With a wide range of Colorful and decorative cases, keycap options, switches, custom weight options, switch plates, and cables, users can create a keyboard that reflects their personal style.
The CSTM65 keyboard boasts enthusiast-level technical features such as a gasket-mounted design, ABS keycaps optimized for south-facing switches, PCBA-mounted stabilizers, 5-pin switch support, dynamic LED lighting, and customizable weight accompanied by five switch plate options. The keyboard also incorporates multiple layers of premium foam for an enhanced sound and feel. Users can choose between two switch options – the tactile Gateron Brown Pro 3.0 or linear Gateron Yellow KS3 – to achieve their desired typing experience.
Lukas Mondoux, Director of Drop Studio, Corsair, emphasized the importance of personal expression and customization in Drop’s identity. He stated that the CSTM65 offers users a compact keyboard option that can be customized to their exact preferences. With numerous case designs, switches, and keycaps available, the possibilities for self-expression are endless.
The CSTM65 is now available for pre-order on the Drop website in both barebones and fully assembled configurations. The barebones version is priced at $79, while the fully assembled version, which includes the keyboard, keycaps, switches, stabilizers, and a black polycarbonate case, is priced at $129. Customers can also purchase polycarbonate color cases separately in various colors, as well as an upgraded forged aluminum case. A decorative case designed by OSHETART is also available for purchase.
