The AOOSTAR GEM10 is a compact desktop computer that offers impressive features in a small package. With its sleek aluminum body measuring just 107 x 107 x 60mm, this little powerhouse is equipped with a 45-watt AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS processor and three M.2 2280 slots for PCIe 4.0 x4 solid state drives. However, it’s the range of ports on the exterior that truly sets the GEM10 apart.

Featuring dual HDMI outputs, two 2.5 Gb Ethernet jacks, a USB-C port with support for 40 Gbps speeds, and an OCuLink port for 63 Gbps connections, the AOOSTAR GEM10 offers versatile connectivity options. Early bird prices for this impressive machine start at $549 for a model with 32GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and no storage or operating system, or $590 for a version with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Shipping to customers is expected to begin on March 8th.

Thanks to the Radeon 780M integrated graphics of the Ryzen 7 7840HS processor, the AOOSTAR GEM10 can handle multiple displays, 4K video, and light gaming. Additionally, the USB4 and OCuLink ports open up possibilities for connecting external graphics docks, allowing users to transform this computer into a workstation or gaming-class machine. It’s worth noting that adding a graphics dock will significantly increase the physical footprint and cost of the setup. Furthermore, the OCuLink does not support hot plugging, requiring users to power down the computer when connecting or disconnecting a graphics dock. Nonetheless, having these options available is a great advantage.

The AOOSTAR GEM10 boasts an impressive array of ports, including two HDMI 2.1 ports, one USB4 port with DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two 2.5 GbE Intel I226-V LAN ports, one OCuLink port, one 3.5mm audio port, and one DC power input (19V/5.12A). This system can support up to three 4K displays at 120 Hz or a single 8K display connected to the USB4 port. AOOSTAR also offers various performance customization options, such as overclocking the RAM to run at up to 7500 MT/s and adjusting the processor in the BIOS for 28W, 35W, or 45W modes.

In terms of wireless capabilities, the AOOSTAR GEM10 supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. To ensure efficient cooling, the computer is equipped with a heat sink and fan.

If the AOOSTAR GEM10 looks familiar, it’s because it closely resembles the AOOSTAR Pro7 that was introduced earlier this year. While the Mini PC has undergone a slight physical redesign, the specifications remain largely unchanged.
