Drop, the mechanical keyboard brand, is stirring up the tech world once again with the launch of their latest creation – the CSTM65 keyboard. This compact 65% mechanical keyboard is designed to cater to users who crave a more streamlined and portable typing experience without compromising on customization options.
Following the success of its predecessor, the CSTM80, the CSTM65 takes personalization to a whole new level. One of the standout features of the CSTM line is the interchangeable, magnetic case that envelops the keyboard. Available in polycarbonate or aluminum, this case not only allows users to effortlessly configure the keyboard to their liking but also serves as a canvas for designers to unleash their creativity and produce stunning artwork.
The CSTM65 keyboard is all about personal style. With a wide range of Colorful and decorative cases, along with various keycap options, switches, custom weight options, switch plates, and cables, users have endless possibilities to mix and match designs and create a keyboard that truly reflects their individuality.
But it’s not just about looks. The fully-built CSTM65 keyboard boasts enthusiast-level technical features that will satisfy even the most discerning typists. It features a gasket-mounted design for enhanced typing feel, specially crafted ABS keycaps with side legends optimized for south-facing switches, PCBA-mounted stabilizers for improved stability, 5-pin switch support for easy customization, dynamic LED lighting for added flair, and a customizable weight accompanied by five switch plate options.
To further enhance the typing experience, users can choose between two switch options – the tactile Gateron Brown Pro 3.0 or the linear Gateron Yellow KS3. This flexibility ensures that each user can find their perfect typing companion.
Lukas Mondoux, Director of Drop Studio at Corsair, emphasized Drop’s commitment to personal expression and customization. “With the CSTM65, we are offering users a more compact keyboard option that they can customize to their exact preferences,” he said. “The possibilities for self-expression are endless, and this is just the beginning. We look forward to unveiling even more designed cases and introducing more people to the world of mechanical keyboards with our CSTM line.”
The CSTM65 keyboard is now available for pre-order on the Drop website. Customers can choose between the barebones option, which includes just the keyboard (MSRP $79), or the fully assembled configuration that comes with the keyboard, keycaps, switches, stabilizers, and a black polycarbonate case (MSRP $129). Additionally, polycarbonate color cases in various colors, an upgraded forged aluminum case, and a decorative case designed by OSHETART are also available for purchase separately.
With its compact size, customizable features, and superior typing experience, the CSTM65 keyboard is set to become a favorite among mechanical keyboard enthusiasts and those looking to add a touch of personalization to their typing setup.
