TerraSync is a new backup solution from TerraMaster that transforms TNAS into a private cloud server, offering efficient file synchronization across devices with three strategies and an on-demand mechanism, as well as prioritizing data safety with recovery features.
- Efficient file synchronization across multiple devices
- Three synchronization strategies cater to different user scenarios
- On-demand synchronization reduces storage pressure and minimizes network bandwidth usage
TerraMaster, a professional storage brand, has recently launched TerraSync, a backup solution that operates on TNAS and works seamlessly with TerraSync Client. By utilizing the TerraSync application, users can transform their TNAS into a private cloud server, enabling efficient file synchronization across multiple devices.
TerraSync offers several key features to enhance data management on TNAS devices. It provides three synchronization strategies: two-way synchronization, one-way download, and one-way upload. These strategies cater to different user scenarios and ensure data consistency and accuracy between the server and client.
With two-way sync, any modifications made to files on either the server or client are instantly synchronized to the other end in real-time. This guarantees that data remains up-to-date and accurate across devices. For scenarios where data only needs to be downloaded from the server, users can opt for the one-way download strategy. Changes made on the server are automatically synced to the client, while any alterations on the client do not affect the server files. Conversely, the one-way upload policy allows users to synchronize file changes on the client to the server without syncing changes made on the server to the client. This feature is particularly useful for maintaining the latest version of a file across multiple devices.
TerraSync also incorporates an on-demand synchronization mechanism, which optimizes storage space and synchronization time. Instead of downloading all files to the local device, users only download specific files when needed. This reduces storage pressure on the local device and minimizes network bandwidth usage, resulting in faster file synchronization.
Data safety is a top priority for TerraSync. The application offers features such as file version recording, file version recovery, and accidental file deletion recovery to ensure comprehensive file security. Users can easily recover important files in case of accidental deletion or malicious attacks.
TerraSync is readily available for download in the APP center. TerraSync Windows is already integrated into the TNAS PC desktop application, while TerraSync Mac, TerraSync iOS, and Android clients will soon be launched to expand device compatibility.
