The ARCTIC S8038-7K and S8038-10K Server Fans: A Fusion of Innovation.

Summary: ARCTIC's new S8038 server fans offer efficient cooling, reliable performance, and a wide range of speed options, making them an ideal choice for server cooling solutions.

  • Actively cooled motor increases service life by up to 50% and reduces energy consumption
  • Double ball bearing ensures smooth continuous operation and protects against external factors
  • Excellent balance between cooling performance and noise emission

Arctic, known for its expertise in cooling solutions, is expanding its range of server fans with two new models, the S8038-7K and S8038-10K. These 80 mm fans are designed to meet the high demands of server cooling, offering efficiency, reliability, durability, and quiet operation.

One of the key features of these fans is their actively cooled motor, which not only increases the service life by up to 50%, but also reduces energy consumption. The double ball bearing ensures smooth continuous operation and protects against external factors like heat and dust.

The S8038 fans strike an excellent balance between cooling performance and noise emission, thanks to their wide speed range. With high Static Pressure and airflow, they are versatile all-rounders that can fit into 2U server cases. They can be used as upgrades or replacements for CPU fans, radiator fans, or for system ventilation.

The S8038-7K model has a speed range of 500-7000 rpm, while the S8038-10K model offers a speed range of 500-10000 rpm. Both models come with a 4-pin connection, but can also be connected and controlled on 2-pin and 3-pin headers. The dimensions of both models are 80 x 80 x 38 mm.

The S8038-7K has a static pressure of 25 mmH2O and an airflow of 70 CFM | 118,93 m3/h. On the other hand, the S8038-10K boasts a higher static pressure of 51 mmH2O and an airflow of 102 cfm | 173,30 m3/h.

In terms of reliability and robustness, the S8038 fans are designed to perform well in various hardware environments, ensuring efficient cooling and minimal downtime. ARCTIC provides a 6-year warranty for both models, further emphasizing their durability and quality.

Overall, ARCTIC’s new S8038 server fans offer efficient cooling, reliable performance, and a wide range of speed options, making them a valuable addition to any server setup.

Technology Explained

CFM: CFM stands for Cubic Feet per Minute and is a measure of the amount of air that a fan can move in one minute. It is used to determine the fan’s airflow capacity and cooling performance. The higher the CFM value, the more air the fan can move, and the better it will be at keeping your PC cool

CPU: The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is the brain of a computer, responsible for executing instructions and performing calculations. It is the most important component of a computer system, as it is responsible for controlling all other components. CPUs are used in a wide range of applications, from desktop computers to mobile devices, gaming consoles, and even supercomputers. CPUs are used to process data, execute instructions, and control the flow of information within a computer system. They are also used to control the input and output of data, as well as to store and retrieve data from memory. CPUs are essential for the functioning of any computer system, and their applications in the computer industry are vast.

Static Pressure: Static Pressure is a technology used in the computer industry to measure the amount of pressure that is applied to a given area. It is used to measure the pressure of air or liquid that is applied to a surface. This technology is used in the computer industry to measure the pressure of air that is used to cool the components of a computer. It is also used to measure the pressure of liquid that is used to cool the components of a computer. Static Pressure is used to ensure that the components of a computer are not damaged due to excessive pressure. This technology is also used to measure the pressure of air that is used to power the fans of a computer. This helps to ensure that the fans are running at the correct speed and are not causing any damage to the components of the computer.
