- 27 different Z790 motherboards available
- Wide range of designs and colors
- Sub-series for budget-conscious and premium users
ASUS is gearing up for the highly anticipated announcement of Intel’s 14th Gen Core series. The embargo on Intel’s new desktop lineup is set to be lifted on October 16th, and ASUS, along with other motherboard makers like MSI and Gigabyte, has been preparing updates to its Z790 motherboard portfolio for this occasion.
A teaser image recently released by ASUS gives us a sneak peek at four upcoming motherboards. Two of them, the ROG Formula and ROG Apex Encore, have been previously mentioned, while the other two, the ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-E WIFI II and Z790-F WIFI II, are new additions to the lineup.
These four motherboards will join the seven models that ASUS announced back in August, bringing the total number of Z790 motherboards to an impressive 27. ASUS offers a wide range of choices with different designs, including black, black and white, white, and Mini-ITX options.
The ASUS Z790 series is divided into six sub-series, each catering to different types of users. The sub-series include ROG Maximus, ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, ProArt, and Prime. While some sub-series are aimed at budget-conscious users (such as TUF and Prime), others target premium users (like ROG Maximus and Strix). It’s worth noting that the ProArt models don’t seem to be a major focus of the Z790 refresh.
