In “A Plague Tale: Requiem,” the Core i9-13900K emerged as the winner, but the Ryzen 7 7800X3D was not far behind, with just a 5% difference in performance. However, when it comes to smooth gameplay experience, the Ryzen processor showcased fewer spikes in frametime data, resulting in a smoother gaming experience.
Moving on to “Assassins’ Creed Valhalla,” the Ryzen 7 7800X3D took the lead with higher lows, indicating better performance. It is worth noting that all recent Assassin’s Creed games tend to exhibit stuttering behavior on even the fastest CPUs, and this issue remains unresolved.
Surprisingly, “Cyberpunk 2077,” which was once known for its poor optimization, now runs smoothly on both processors. However, the Core i9-13900K outperformed the Ryzen 7 7800X3D with a 20% lead. Both processors experienced some stuttering, but the Ryzen processor was slightly more affected.
In “Dying Light 2,” both processors performed equally well, but the Ryzen 7 7800X3D showcased notably higher lows, indicating better overall performance. The frametime graph for the Ryzen processor was clean with minimal spikes, while the Core i9-13900K exhibited periodic spikes.
“F1 2022” favored the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, providing a small 6% lead over the Core i9-13900K. However, the latter experienced some stuttering throughout the benchmark. The frametime data revealed periodic spikes on the Core i9 processor, representing its lower lows.
When it comes to “Ghostwire Tokyo,” AMD takes the win, but the Core i9-13900K offers a smoother gaming experience. Both processors faced slight micro-stuttering, but the Ryzen processor was more affected by it.
“Hitman 3” proved to be a significant win for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, with a remarkable 75% lead in performance. The frametime graphs also looked much better for the Ryzen processor, while the Core i9-13900K showcased a messier graph.
“Hogwarts Legacy” is another game that runs exceptionally well on the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, with a lead of over 70% and notably smoother frametimes. The frametime graph for the Ryzen processor showed limited spikes, while the Core i9-13900K faced several spikes.
In “Shadow of the Tomb Raider,” the Ryzen 7 7800X3D dominated with a 49% lead over the Core i9-13900K. However, the frametime graph revealed more consistent frame-pacing for the Intel processor.
“The Callisto Protocol,” an AMD partner title, surprisingly saw the Core i9-13900K emerge as the winner, showcasing similar lows to the Ryzen processor. The frametime graphs for both CPUs were almost identical.
