Newegg's GPU Trade-In Program provides customers with an easy and cost-effective way to upgrade their GPUs while reducing electronic waste.

  • Helps customers upgrade to a newer GPU model
  • Promotes waste reduction and facilitates cost-effective PC upgrades
  • Ease of sending a used graphics card and buying a new one all within the same platform

Newegg Commerce, Inc., a global leader in e-commerce for technology products, has just launched its new GPU Trade-In Program. This program allows customers to trade in their eligible GPU devices and receive a trade-in value credit towards the purchase of a new qualifying graphics card, also known as a GPU.

Not only does Newegg’s GPU Trade-In Program help customers upgrade to a newer GPU model, but it also addresses the issue of electronic waste. By providing a platform for customers to exchange their unwanted GPUs for new ones, the program promotes waste reduction and facilitates cost-effective PC upgrades.

Amir Asadibagheri, Product Manager of Customer Experience at Newegg, explains the benefits of the trade-in program: “The benefit of our trade-in program is the ease of sending a used graphics card and buying a new one all within the same platform, avoiding the hassle of selling through a secondary market.”

The trade-in process is designed to be seamless and convenient for customers. Here’s how it works:

1. Shopping for a New GPU and Eligibility Confirmation: Customers interested in trading in their GPU for a new graphics card can find a banner on most graphics card product pages on Newegg.com. A pop-up form allows them to verify if their graphics card qualifies for the trade-in program. The form collects details such as chipset, model, and brand.

2. Preliminary Offer and Shipping to Newegg: Based on the information provided by the customer, an initial shopping credit offer for a new graphics card will be displayed on the website. If the customer accepts the trade-in offer and purchases a new graphics card on the website, they will receive a prepaid shipping label and instructions via email. This allows them to send their graphics card to Newegg at no cost within 14 days.

3. Evaluation and Credit Disbursement: Once Newegg receives the graphics card, they will conduct an inspection to ensure it matches the submitted information. Once verified, the customer will receive a credit in the amount of the offer, which will be applied to their new graphics card purchase. The credit will be refunded to their account using their original payment method. If the information provided is inaccurate or Newegg declines the customer’s graphics card submission, no credit will be issued, and the graphics card will be returned to the customer.

By offering this unique trade-in service, Newegg is empowering customers to own the latest hardware, enabling optimal gaming, improved content creation, and modern work-related experiences on their home machines. This program not only benefits customers but also contributes to reducing electronic waste, making it a win-win situation for all parties involved.
