MSI has launched its highly anticipated Geforce RTX 4090/4080 GAMING SLIM series, featuring a sleek and slim design. The company has focused on making these new models more appealing to gamers by reducing their thickness and weight. The RTX 4090 GAMING SLIM comes in both black and white variants, while the RTX 4080 GAMING SLIM is available in black. Both models offer factory overclocking options.
Compared to their predecessors, the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 cards are noticeably slimmer. The RTX 4090’s thickness has been reduced from 77 mm to just 62 mm, while the RTX 4080 adheres to a 3-slot specification and is 203 grams lighter. These design changes have resulted in a sleeker and more streamlined appearance.
MSI has also made improvements to the backplate, increasing the perforations to enhance airflow. However, there are no changes to the clock speeds or TDP (Thermal Design Power) of these new models, as confirmed by MSI.
