Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT, the upcoming Graphics Cards from AMD, are set to launch on September 6th. However, HDTecnologia has recently leaked some official data from AMD regarding these GPUs, giving us a glimpse into their performance capabilities.

According to the leaked information, the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT, powered by the Navi 32 GPU architecture, are aimed at competing with nVidia’s Geforce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti 16GB models respectively. AMD has even provided side-by-side comparisons with NVIDIA GPUs to highlight their competitive edge.

The leaked benchmark results are divided into two categories: one with Ray Tracing enabled and another without. It’s important to note that AMD’s hardware acceleration for ray tracing is not as robust as NVIDIA’s, which explains the division of data to showcase where AMD’s cards excel and where they may face competition.

In terms of performance, without ray tracing, the Radeon RX 7800 XT outperforms the GeForce RTX 4070 by almost 7% on average. With ray tracing enabled, it maintains a slight 0.5% lead. Overall, these GPUs seem to outperform their NVIDIA counterparts in most benchmarks, except for the Port Royal benchmark, which incorporates ray tracing capabilities. In this particular scenario, the RTX 4070 achieves higher scores compared to the RX 7800 XT. However, the RX 7700 XT still emerges as the clear winner when pitted against the RTX 4060 Ti.
