MSI has recently released a firmware update that includes a new feature called "High-Efficiency Mode" (HE Mode), which promises to significantly improve gaming performance on Ryzen 7000 CPUs by up to 12% through one-click tuning of memory timings.
- MSI's High-Efficiency Mode offers one-click tuning of memory timings.
- Implementing the "Tighter" preset led to a remarkable 10% to 12% increase in gaming performance across three out of the four titles tested.
- The firmware update is compatible and effective with DDR5-6000 memory kits.
MSI has recently launched a new feature called “High-Efficiency Mode” (HE Mode) that promises to elevate gaming performance on Ryzen 7000 CPUs by up to 12%. This exciting development comes in the form of a firmware update, specifically the AGESA 1.0.0.7c microcode, which significantly enhances memory overclocking performance on AM5 motherboards.
One of the key highlights of this update is the ability to achieve overclocks of up to 9,000 MT/s and even higher on Zen 4 CPUs. To make the process more accessible to users, MSI has introduced the “High-Efficiency Mode,” which offers one-click tuning of memory timings. This mode comes with four presets – “Tightest,” “Tighter,” “Balance,” and “Relax” – allowing users to choose their desired level of performance optimization.
To gauge the impact of the “High-Efficiency Mode” on gaming performance, WCCFTech conducted a series of tests using a Ryzen 9 7950X paired with an MSI MAG B650M Mortar WiFi motherboard and a Geforce RTX 4090 graphics card. Four popular games were tested at 1080p Ultra settings, utilizing a DDR5-6000 memory kit.
The results were impressive. Implementing the “Tighter” preset led to a remarkable 10% to 12% increase in gaming performance across three out of the four titles tested. :
